Some of you might of seen my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! post I put up the other day. I love my macbook . However I do still yern for something with a bit more umph to it so I can do video editing. I also want a desktop mainly because they’re a lot easier to write long papers at due to being able to raise the display to eye level. Also I want a monitor that can do 100% adobe RGB (as opposed to my Macbook which only does 75%) for working with my photos. So I think this would be the perfect combination for me. The new Mac mini 2.6Ghz is twice as fast in benchmark tests compared to my laptop and only costs $650, half the price of my macbook. Then the Dell monitor has a 100% adobe RGB color gambit for doing prints. All I would need to add to this already awesome set up to make it truly awesome is an Epson artesian photo printer.

Whatever kind of desktop setup that you get, you must pair it with Model M.

You should totally let me know how that goes. I’m in the process of convincing myself to get a Mac Mini.. They’re just so bad ass and capable

I gave up on Apple after the horrendous build quality on a couple Mac Minis. Failed solder joints and exploded caps while at a premium price...screw that. Too bad too, since up to that point I’d always had a Mac in the house. My old Cinema display is still kicking it though.

Would building a PC be totally out of the question? I’m running a 4.2GHz 8-core, 8GB Hyper-X RAM, R9 270X, 1TB 7200rpm HDD, all for around $450 (Tiger direct barebones FTW). If not, I say go for it. Seems like a pretty solid setup.
